A member asked:

Can recurrent idiopathic angioedema episodes cause you to have an elevated ch50 count on a blood test? i have this and my immunologist is not concerned since all my other blood work looks good. he thinks its just from the inflammation from attacks?

I say listen to your immunologist & I'm glad you see one. The cause of recurrent episodes of angioedema is elusive and working with complement levels.is tricky for most primary care physicians. It doesn't appear to me that you're experiencing autoimmune angioedema but your immunologist will advise you best.
