Good day i have type 2 diabetes and asthma. my recent blood test show high inflammation count, 3 weeks follow up blood not any better. what can be the cause of the high inflammation? i am and endurance athlete and triathlete

Stress induced: White cell count elevation can happen without inflammation, for example stress can cause elevated WBC count. So it could be a harmless white count elevation.If you are oral steroids for asthma that can cause WBC ctelevation. Make sure that your blood sugar is under good control.

Need more info: All laboratory results need to be interpreted in the clinical context and the doctor who ordered the tests is usually in the best position to do that. Talk to the doctor who ordered the tests. Having said that, you did not provide any results from the tests that may have helped. Wish you good health!
