A member asked:

My blood sugar drops low under 70 when i lie down, i have to get up to eat every hour, is the glucose drop related to the body position? i eat a healthy snack before bed and still drop. is anything i can do to prevent this?

If you're not a diabetic taking meds experiencing nocturnal hypoglycemia & low blood sugar happens during daytime whenever you lie down, this is most unusual. If your readings are accurate & low blood sugars follow eating carbs, reactive hypoglycemia may be occurring caused by subsequent spikes in blood sugar in release of insulin which causes your blood sugar to drop too low. Eat protein snacks
