This usually safe unless it is a complicated wisdom tooth. If you are in pain and an infection is present than it is recommended. If you are in severe pain with a wisdom tooth than it should come out, if not wait until after birth. The most important thing is to maintain good oral hygiene during your pregnancy.

That's decision to be made by your General Dentist (or preferably a specialist Oral Surgeon) and your General Physician (or preferably a specialist Obstetrician). If the reason for the extraction is infection, the sooner the infection is eliminated (root canal or extraction), the better for both you and your baby.
