My ct scan results state: " bibasilar reticulations." what does this mean? is this normal?

Reticulations in the lungs are a sign of pulmonary fibrosis. In your case the findings are at both lung bases only. Did you ever have bronchopneumonia? If not, this may be idiopathic. I recommend consulting a pulmonologist for evaluation, advice and followup. Appropriate testing will be done.

This CT chest reading is NOT normal at the age of 38 but it has to be interpreted according to the medical history. Please discuss the finding with the doctor who ordered this CT scan. Good luck.
