Tongue blotchy and irritated after a covid infection. rx'd oral nystatin swish & spit. how long is best to swish it around? is it supposed to cause a burning sensation on the tongue while swishing? how long does it take to work if it is going to work?

It is recommended to swish oral Nystatinn around in the mouth for at least two minutes before spitting it out. It is normal for some people to experience a burning sensation on the tongue while swishing Nystatin. This side effect should subside after a few minutes. The length of time it takes for Nystatin varies depending on the severity of the infection and individuals response to treatment.
