Mouth pain/burning: Diagnosis of what is causing the pain is needed first. Are there changes in appearance of mucous membranes, ulcers, fissures, atrophy, dryness, changes in or loss of taste, redness, white spots? Pain or burning? Burning is slightly different and can be caused by candida, vitamin or iron deficiencies, inflammatory conditions, allergic reactions, medications, dentures, reflux, other health issues.
