I was negative for hiv after 6 weeks post exposure but they also said i was positive for mono. does hiv cause a positive mono test? i wa positive for both antigen and antibodies. worried my hiv test my have been misread by lab or not processed at all?

There are no medical conditions of any kind that make HIV test results unreliable or that have any effect on the timing of positive results. Your negative HIV result at 6 weeks proves you do not have HIV, regardless of your mononucleosis. Best wishes for a speedy recovery from mono.
