A member asked:

How much accuracy is expected with a negative hiv duo ab/ag full blood lab at 18 days of possible exposure? would this timeframe detect the p24 antigen reliably, if no antibodies are detected?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Yes: HIV Duo will BEGIN to detect p24 antigen as early as 10 days. If test is negative at 18 days it is likely to remain negative thereafter. However, to be absolutely certain, redo the test at 3-4 months
