Nothing is serious I guess. I wonder if you had any unusual activity on the previous day which involves the intercostal muscles of the chest. Take some tylenol or advil OTC for the next 24 hours and observe. Good luck.

Chest pain can be caused by a variety of factors, some of which are serious and require immediate medical attention. One possible cause of chest pain that spreads to the back is a heart attack, but at 19 I doubt it. Perhaps you have pulled a muscle!
