I was on an antibiotic for a uti& it showed positive for meth. i had them send it in& it was negative for meth they said it was probably from the antibiotics. now im on another medication for uti (metronidazole)& its showing positive for meth again?

Urine culture or urinalysis cannot detect methamphetamines or any other drugs in the urine. The doctor must request drug testing on the sample, otherwise it would not be done. Antibiotics to not cause positive tests for meth or any other drug. Discuss with the doctor or clinic that sent your urine specimen to the lab. Good luck.

None of this is the cause of being positive for meth. The samples got contaminated if you do not use it
