Free t4 is 58.6, free t3 is .9. increase or decrease levothyroxine? new pcp wants to double my levothyroxine. one thyroid related coma, one was enough. hypothyroid for over 30 years, in last year developed increasing hyperthyroidism. thank you?

What is your TSH? It looks like your free T4 level is elevated but it would be helpful to know your TSH level. Having a high free T4 would typically mean you have hyperthyroidism and you would decrease your L-thyroxine but I would want to know the TSH as well to confirm that you have hyperthyroidism and you need to decrease your dose. Your TSH would be low if this is the case. See endocrinologist.
