This is often found in the feces and easily jumps to a female urinary tract due to the close location of the pee hole to the anus. Men rarely acquire this germ in any setting.

This bacterium is a normal inhabitant of the bowel. When it gets into other areas it can cause infection. In females due to the short urinary outer tube and proximity to the anus it can cause a UTI. In poor hygienic situations it can be passed on. Washing hands. Keeping the vaginal area clean can avoid that
