My urine report came in & it stated my urine culture (greater than symbol) 100,000 cfu/ml enterococcus faecalis (group d). does that mean that i have something wrong? i went to the hospital and they said nothing was wrong. please help me understand?

Contact your doc: Where I trained E.fecalis in that amount on a clean catch urine culture would be treated as a urinary tract infection. Who or why someone would tell you this is not a problem is not evident from your post. I would share this information with your regular doc and seek their guidance.

100,000 cuf/ml =UTI: Agree with Dr. F. Reason they told you urine test was OK is: enterococcus does not show up on urine test strip unlike most other bacteria which commonly cause UTI. Quite common mistake when urine is testes with Dipstick. Fortunately, hospital sent urine for culture, which in your case demonstrated enterococcus UTI. Thus short course of antibiotics is advised.
