E Coli in urine: 28 F MS notes: Enterococcus sp 80.000 found in urine with slight back pain but no burning or pain on urination. Why is that? Is enterococcus common in infection? ANS: either you have an E Coli UTI or you did not collect a clean catch urine spec. Very common cause of UTI. If no Sx would recheck with good clean catch urine before Rx. Esp if not previous UTIs.
