64 yo female w/recurring uti. 5 weeks ago was prescribed keflex 500mg 2/day 5 days. symptoms disappeared but retrnd 5 days ago. went to urgent care and dip stick test was positive for hematuria. lab culture said no bacteria. now on cipro..no relief?

If you have not seen a urologist in the past, it is time you should see one for a thorough work-up of recurrent UTI, especially with the result of last urinalysis. Cipro should not be used if urine culture is negative. Good luck.

If lab culture grew no bacteria then cipro is not needed. You need to see a Urologist to find cause. In the maentime drink plenty of water, keep vaginal area clean avoid constipation and empty your bladder when you get the urge
