A member asked:

Can "left transverse sinus stenosis" or asymmetry in sinus could cause feelings of disabling pressure in the head (lying down or physical effort impossible), pulsatile tinnitus, headaches, brain zaps? no papilledema. my neurologist can't find the pb?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Congenital vascular anatomical variations of the cerebral venous sinuses are not unusual and typically would cause no clinical symptoms. If a sinus becomes blocked secondary to thrombosis, a stroke could ensue resulting in symptoms. If you feel that you need explanations for your symptoms, a virtual consult here at HT may be productive. (www.connect@healthtap.com)
