A member asked:

More food gets lodged at the upper corner of an upper molar that got a permanent crown. the issue started with the temp crown. theres a bit of space in between crown and next tooth but not in between crown and other adjacent tooth. is this abnormal?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

The crown should contact both adjacent teeth in order not to form a food trap and to provide a proper occlusion [bite]. If the temp. was on for a long time, the teeth shifted a little. It is best if crown is in with temp. cement to have a it removed with a new impression and a new casting made. If it stays you will be constantly be using a interdental brush, Water Pik and floss to remove food.
