I get these spots on my right index finger and they take months to go away. they look like really deep blisters, my skin is raised in bumps, and can be tender/painful. any idea what they could be?

You probably had herpetic whitlow. This herpes infection is usually self limited but the lesions can last weeks to months. Recurrence is rare but possible but the duration is shorter with relapse. If you have doubt, you should see a dermatologist for the next episode but I doubt it will recur in the near future. Take care.
