A member asked:

My 4 year old developed a small pea sized bump on his index finger. i tried poking it with a pin but it was just pure skin. he says it does not hurt. also he could not feel when i poked it. do you have any idea what it could be and what i can io n do to m

Without a photo...: hard to say. Posting a photo could help with the diagnosis. Also, how long has it been there? Any other bumps anywhere on him or on anyone else? Sounds like it could be a simple wart, especially since you say it's "pure skin." Unfortunately, there's not proven treatment for warts; most go away on their own over time. If it persists, looks infected (red, warm, painful), then go see your doc.
