These medicines can raise triglyceride levels. In order to prevent this, be careful about weight gain, keep blood sugars under control and eat a low fat diet. Your doctor can periodically check your fasting triglyceride levels-fast for a minimum of 12 hours prior to the blood test. Good luck to you!
