I had to get an mri of my abdomen and pelvis (urogram) with contrast (gadolinium based, macrocyclic - dotarem). i was reading about gadolinium retention and issues surrounding it. should i be worried about any of these issues? is it completely safe?

Nothing in the world is completely safe. But problems with latest MRI contrast are relatively infrequent otherwise it would not be used
