A member asked:

Mri for a mass in lower back. results say no focal mass or fluid collection identified. slightly prominent subcutaneous fat in the region palpable abnormality. no lipoma is identified. muscles are within normal limits. does this mean its just fat?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Appears that your MRI study failed to confirm any pathology, and this should be reassuring. But it appears that additional concerns are present. The best approach is to contact the radiologist and go over the films together.
