One traditional alternative is a custom-designed dental splint. A newer device similar to the CPAP approach can be evaluated at otolaryngology offices. An outpatient surgical procedure involves altering the palate and uvula.

There are smaller more comfortable n-machines out. Also if indicated certain procedures of the palate or oropharynx can be performed. Pl check at an academic center
