Oxygen is essential : We can live without food and water for days. We cannot live without oxygen. If you have been given a cpap, it means that you are not getting enough oxygen while you sleep. This puts you at an increased risk of heart attack, stroke , and diabetes just to name a few. There are dental devices that can substitute for a cpap.
