Allergy: Itchy eyes are most likely due to allergies. You can try otc zaditor (ketotifen) eye drops to see if that helps and cold compresses on the eyes. Astigmatism is warping on the surface of the eye that leads to blurred vision. This is typically corrected with glasses or contacts.

Allergies can cause: Itchy, sometimes mildly painful and swollen eyes. Astigmatism is an irregular curvature of the cornea and affects only the quality of vision. It does cause itching, pain or swelling. So the two are unrelated. Treatment of allergies is possible with drop medications while astigmatism is treated with lenses. Usually allergic conjunctivitis affects both eyes not just one.
