Your symptoms are more consistent with overactive bladder syndrome than bladder outlet obstruction due to prostate issue although you probably have prostate hypertrophy by exam. Because TURP fails to alleviate the frequency so you are now treated for overactive bladder syndrome (OAB). It is not uncommon these 2 problems may be present in one man at your age, unfortunately. Good luck!

Frequency of urination is not the sole reason to have a TUR-P . There have to have been more findings eg incomplete emptying, slow stream etc. If not better in a few weeks have a re-evaluation.
