A member asked:

I am 36 & told through ct scan w/ contrast that i have a "low density" 6mm lesion on my kidney that they believe is a cyst but too small to characterize. ultrasound after saw nothing. why nothing? are kidney lesions common? really worried!?

The great majority of tiny kidney lesions like yours are benign. Nevertheless I recommend consulting a urologist to guide you regarding what other studies, if any, or what kind of follow-up for your lesion is recommended. This will give you valuable peace of mind.
