I am 36 and told through ct scan w/ contrast that i have a "low density" 6mm lesion on my kidney that they believe is a cyst but too small to characterize. ultrasound after saw nothing. what does this mean?

Too small for ultrasound to "see". These are very common and should most likely be ignored. Always include why the CT was done as this enables the viewer to focus on what to look at.
