: Hard to know what causes esophageal yeast infections-are you taking inhaled steroids? If so, rinse and spit after each use. There is treatment for esophageal yeast infections-either oral lozenges can be used, typically 5x daily or systemic treatment can be given, depending on the extent of the infection.
