What is the most conclusive test for syphilis if you had an exposure and symptoms ten years ago but werent tested but thought you were, and what should you avoid before testing to make sure its the most accurate?

I think you have had concern about this matter in the last couple days so I hope you should be free from your concern or anxiety as of today. If you do not have any chronic underlying disease which can affect your immune system, negative VDRL/RPR and FTA/ABS tests should rid you off the concern of syphilis infection at late latent stage. You do not need to avoid anything before the test.
