Aldosterone increased Na reabsorption and K excretion by the kidneys so medication which suppresses aldosterone efficiently will strongly block the sodium reabsorption and potassium excretion, i.e. better hypotensive effect but worse hyperkalemic effect. In practice, it is very difficult to say if valsartan & candersartan are better than other ARBs in treating HTN or they cause more hyperkalemia.
