You can have bronchospasm without wheezing. Does the peak flow increase after you use a bronchodilator inhaler? What is your best peak flow? There are other diagnoses besides asthma that can result in a lower peak flow so you should see a lung doctor for pulmonary function testing, if not done already, to make sure the reason for a lower peak flow is diagnosed/treated. So, see a lung doctor.

Keep a log of your best effort readings along with a symptom log. Discuss the recordings with your physician. A consult with Healthtap is available. Please provide symptoms, whether smoke or are under treatment for asthma. Watch for signs of shortness of breath, cough and wheezing. If you experience these symptoms, please see a physician right away.
