Can a person's normal body temperature change? i've always been averaging 97.4 or 97.6. now i am averaging 98.6 or 98.8. i'm 49. thank you?

Body temperature is quite variable. 98.6F is not the top normal, but the average among all people, and the usual average in any person over 24 hours. Take your temperature 4 times daily (on arising, about noon, about dinnertime, and bedtime) and record the results for a full week. Probably you'll see values in exactly the range you state, maybe as low as 96F and as high as 99.5. All normal.

Yes, body temperature may change as long as it is still in normal range. Your recent temperature change could be due to perimenopausal hormone changes.
