Can lymph nodes remain swollen, (but not enlarged) without being malignant, for years? i've had several swollen lymph nodes for years but my blood work and ct scans are normal, and my drs can't seem to give me a reason?

Swollen nodes or Enlarged nodes is one and the same thing. Remember that Lymph nodes can be palpable but that is considered normal unless the size of the nodes is more than 1.5-2CM. I think your lymph nodes are fine as long as they do not enlarge further or get to a size of more than1.5cm. Best wishes.
