A member asked:

How accurate are paps and colposcopy? since cancers and lesions are found up in the canal sometimes paps and colposcopy could be normal and not know ? then how they find it before its late?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

PAP and colposcopy are effective in detecting carcinoma of the cervix but not of endometrium. Normal PAP and colposcopy do not rule uterine cancer. Depending on your health history your doctor may wish to do other tests. For info: https://my.clevelandclinic.org/health/diseases/16409-uterine-cancer
