Radiographs do not always reveal an infection, but your dentist suspected there might be so they prescribed an antibiotic just in case. I am not a fan of vaping, so do so at your own risk.

An infection may be subclinical and thus there is yet no symptom. Subclinical infection may show on the X-ray as varying degree of radiolucency. Antibiotic treats the symptom of infection(inflammation and pain), not the cause. Extraction of an impact wisdom teeth is a treatment of choice, Vaping should avoid for at least 3 weeks post extraction to encourage proper healing.
