Hi im a 30 year old male. i just started taking hydrochlorothiazide for blood pressure last week. and i check my blood pressure at home and i get heart palpitations and also my pressure is still consistently at about 142/95- is this working??

Probably not working as intended. Sometimes One has to have BP medications changed or titrated until the desired goal is achieved. Best to get back to the PCP or Cardiologist for re-evaluation and management.
