Echocardiogram should be the first one for ruling out cardiomyopathy in non acute setting. This rhythm occurs in up to 50 percent of patients during an acute MI, most commonly in patients undergoing revascularization (ie, a reperfusion arrhythmia). Most episodes of AIVR are transient and require no treatment.
