Rupturing of soft plaque in arteries can cause problems. what is the best way to control the breaking off of soft plaque to prevent heart attacks,etc?

Depends: There are multiple issues: Do not use tobacco, if you have high blood pressure - control it, same for diabetes. If high cholesterol may need statins. Life style modifications are prudent. For good health - Have a diet rich in fresh vegetables, fruits, whole grains, low fat milk and milk products, nuts, beans, legumes, lentils and small amounts of lean meats. Avoid saturated fats. Exercise at least 150 minutes/week and increase the intensity of exercise gradually. Do not use tobacco or alcohol in any form. Practice safe sex.
