It is not feasible to provide a meaningful opinion without additional history, physical examination and may be some tests. It would be prudent to see a doctor to make sure a treatable condition like temporal arteritis is excluded. Wish you good health!

At your age temporal arteritis is most concerned condition which can cause vision loss so if vision problem happens, just go to urgent care/ER. If rashes appear later, shingles is likely. However, shooting (lancinating) pain is more consistent with nerve pain (neuropathic pain or neuralgia), viral related or idiopathic, for which you can take ibuprofen OTC for a day or two if no contraindication.
