Presence of mucocele may make difficult to assess what your lips looks like without it and the result of the cosmetic intervention may be less than optimal.

You are correct, you SHOULD postpone. Many will resolve on their own, others require surgical intervention. No need to rush a cosmetic procedure.

Approx 4 weeks ago a clearish glassy bump developed in my inside lower lip. No known trauma or reason. Not painful, but swollen, red & annoying. Maybe mucocele or canker sore? No self remedies work. Seeing dr next week. Any idea on what it could be?
