Approx 4 weeks ago a clearish glassy bump developed in my inside lower lip. no known trauma or reason. not painful, but swollen, red & annoying. maybe mucocele or canker sore? no self remedies work. seeing dr next week. any idea on what it could be?

Muck eke is a slightly raised bum, may be bluish in color. Mucocele occurs due to a rupture of minor salivary gland in the lips. Though there is usually no pain, it should be removed to prevent further lip biting. Canker sore is more whitish, flat cratered lesion causing by virus and usually go away after five days even without treatment.
