I had an endoscopy about 6 weeks ago and was diagnosed with atrophic gastritis and ecl hyperplasia. the gastro doctor then ordered blood work and everything came back wnl except for my gastrin level which is 1,070.she is saying it is due to gastritis?

Yes, she is correct. In your case, atrophic gastritis is the reason for hypergastrinemia (high gastrin level) which in turn causes ECL hyperplasia.
