Candida whether albicans or non albicans are part of the gut flora so it is possible to culture it because it is a colonizer rather than a pathogen. It is when there is overgrowth and because of change in flora pattern that it could cause disease and the white patches.

All laboratory results need to be interpreted in the clinical context and the doctor who ordered the tests is usually in the best position to do that. Talk to the doctor who ordered the tests. Having said that, there is an insignificant amount of Candida in your esophagus, not an abnormal finding in itself. Wish you good health!
