Doc wants to do expensive endoscopy to look at esophagus pain. i think it's caused by candida, can i just treat it with regular doc and hope it helps?

EGD: Odynophagia or pain with swallowing is an important symptom to promptly investigate. Infections with viruses or fungi like candida as well as neoplasms can cause this symptom. An upper endoscopy is an appropriate tool to use to determine the specific cause if the symptom.
