A member asked:

My baseline blood pressure at rest is around 115/70-120/80 but when i feel stressed or emotional it shoots from 130/80s-160s/100s. i don't know if you call this labile hypertension. i'm already on valsartan 40mg curious if diuretic would help?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Blood pressure is very labile and can shoot up in such circumstances. As long as it is a brief rise it is normal. Best to address your stress
