If your gfr has remained stable for 6 or more years, that is a good sign. The edema needs to be evaluated and your doctor should at least test your urine for proteinuria. From what you describe you do not have any progressive kidney disease. edema can be multifactorial. Wearing suppert socks, avoiding prolonged sitting or standing will help. That is not from kidney disease
