2 years ago i overdosed on lamotrigine, since around that time ive had cognitive issues such as memory loss, slowed thinking and trouble finding my words. are these symptoms a sign of a brain injury from the overdose?

Possibly. But at your age the damage -if it is , generally is recovered with time. Stay under care of a neurologist. Good luck

In absence of historical details, tough to be precise but suspect you did have injury especially if hypoxia. Neuropsych testing can pinpoint exact deficits allowing for cognitive rehabilitation
