A member asked:

Are there any permanent cognitive deficits/brain damage associated with being prescribed clonazepam for less than a year? and, if not, should i be just as functional cognitively and memory-wise as i was before (i.e. thered be no lasting effects)?

Wouldn't think so: Such an issue would likely have led to removal from the market decades ago (first approved in 1975). There is always a possibility you had a personal idiosyncratic reaction (rare). However, I would wonder if this is more related to whatever led them to use the drug on you to begin with.

Yes: That is accurate , Always want to consider you could have a really unusual reaction , and that would be something that your prescriber would be able to help you understand . Best Wishes
